Abstract

Introduction Lipoma arborescens is a condition that affects the synovium of joints and bursae, characterized by 'frond like' accumulation of fatty tissue whose etiology is not clearly defined. Methods We discuss a 40 year old  gentleman who presented with gradually progressive right knee pain and swelling for two months who had been  diagnosed with systemic vasculitis and autoimmune crescentic glomerulonephritis since 2012Discussion Lipoma arborescens has been associated with numerous conditions. Our patient had renal involvement by way of ANCA negative crescentric glomerulonephritis whose etiology is clearly inflammatory. Conclusion In this rare condition, an   inflammatory coexisting disease could be considered while investigating .
