A Rare Case Report of Carcinoma Breast with Neuro Endocrine Differentiation

RANGANATHAN R

Abstract

Neuroendocrine tumors are rare, slow-growing tumors derived from neuroendocrine cells, which are present throughout the body . They arise most commonly in the    bronchopulmonary system and gastrointestinal tract. Many benign and malignant lesions of various organs may show neuroendocrine differentiation. In many recent studies, the incidence of neuroendocrine differentiation in breast carcinoma is said to be between 2-5 percent. Here we report a rare case of carcinoma breast with neuroendocrine  differentiation.
