Mueller - Weiss Syndrome - An uncommon cause of midfoot pain in adult - a case report

Abstract


A case of idiopathic osteonecrosis of navicular bone in adult is presented by the author. It is described in literature as Mueller - Weiss syndrome.55 year old male  patient, presenting with spontaneous onset of foot pain. The characterstic radiological features are collapse of lateral  portion of Navicular followed by medial protrusion and perinavicular arthritis. Treatment is by curettage and  talonavicular arthrodesis.
