A rare case report- antenatal patient with congenital rubella syndrome and its outcome
Abstract
Rubella virus induces a characteristic pattern of multiorgan disease in fetus called congenital rubella syndrome. This is an important cause of blindness, deafness, congenital heart disease and mental retardation.A case of 21 year primigravida ,a known case of congenital rubella syndrome with features of congenital deafness , mutism, and cardiac features of mild pulmonary stenosis and mild coarctation of aorta delivered successfully by labour natural.
