Cervical Tuberculosis - A Rare Case Report

Abstract


Primary tuberculosis of uterine cervix is a very rare event accounting for 0.1-0.6 of all cases of tuberculosis. It may mimic cervical carcinoma in appearance. 20 yr old G3P2L2 with 11 wks 3 days gestational age referred to our institute as cervical carcinoma. Diagnosis of cervical tuberculosis was confirmed on histological examination. Patient was treated with anti-tuberculous therapy for 6 months and has been disease free now.
