Rajalakshmi A, Rita Hepsi Rani .

Abstract

Congenital facial palsy (CFP) is considered to be

either developmental oracquired in origin. Developmental

facial paralysis is associated with other anomalies most

commonly those of pinna and external auditory canal,

rangingfrom mild defects to severe microtia and atresia.

Association of abnormal pinna, multiple defects and facial

palsy has been reportedin 9-15% of patients. Aural atresia

occurs in approximately one in 20,000 live births. We

report a rare case of congenital left facial paralysis

associated with left anotia. Patient hadsymptoms due to

associated entropion. Surgical correction of entropion was

done.
